Kerosene Creek, more than the sum of their individual parts and those parts are quite impressive!
John Hughes provides the foundation to the Kerosene Creek sound!
Although he never strapped on the bass guitar until he was 20, it was an instant and natural connection between his voice and his hands. John grew up in an era where music was just music. Radio played everything from Cash to Zeppelin. Years of listening pours out through John’s sultry low voice and his solid bass playing in Kerosene Creek.
Mandi Lee’s soaring vocals propel Kerosene Creek into the stratosphere!
While growing up, Mandi listened to all genres of music. It wasn’t until she heard Gretchen Wilson sing “Redneck Woman” that Mandi decided she was going to be a country singer. Over the past 10 years she’s been sharpening her vocal prowess winning the KICX 106 Star Quest in 2006 and KW Oktoberfest Idol in 2007. If singing wasn’t enough, Mandi has become quite accomplished on acoustic guitar and has been writing music for the bands up coming CD.
Pete Allison drives Kerosene Creek with his rockin’ guitar!
One might think Pete's out of control, but he's in complete dominance of his guitar! Like his influences - Brad Paisley and Keith Urban - Pete plays his guitar tenaciously, right to the edge. Drawing on years of rock music, he fuses country and rock guitar playing into an intense and melodic experience! His dynamic voice augments the vocal authority of the band!
Libby McGrath accentuates Kerosene Creek’s diversity with her multi-instruments and powerful vocals!
Being born in a musical family, country music is in Libby’s blood. Her influences are far too many to list and have allowed her to cultivate her own powerful yet sweet, expressive yet convincing music voice. No stranger to the stage, Libby has travelled the world burning venues to the ground with her fiddle playing and bringing the masses to their feet with her infectious charm and charisma!
Dale Rivard intensifies the energy of Kerosene Creek on steel guitar!
A true country music veteran, Dale has been playing his steel for over 30 years. Dale’s command of the steel has taken him around North America making music with county music royalty and entertaining thousands of fans! His sound is true to the lineage of steel guitar but also expressive of his own musical ideas. His musicality is unsurpassed and he is an integral part of Kerosene Creek!
Scott McQuaig lays down the groove for Kerosene Creek with impassioned drumming!
Loud and proud is Scott’s motto. Studied, experienced and accomplished, Scott has been a fixture on the Canadian music scene for over 20 years now. His immense wall of sound accelerates the music he is driving taking its listeners to the next level. Scott is the very capable engineer of the speeding freight train known as Kerosene Creek!
